LNENA Community Garden Applications Now Open! Apply Today!

The Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association is now accepting applications for Community Garden Plots on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important Details

  • Garden is located at 1213 Spring Street.
  • Garden Plot Fee: $50 (non-refundable, if selected)
  • Gardeners must agree to the LNENA Community Garden Rules, Expectations and General Information as part of the application process.  Please review prior to submitting your application form.
  • Priority will be given to Beltrami and Northeast Park residents.
  • Mandatory Garden Orientation: April 18 at 12:00 PM, at the Community Garden. All gardeners must attend.
  • If you apply and are accepted, but are unable to attend the orientation, please contact: [email protected]
  • Applicants are eligible to request a fee-waiver if they qualified to receive benefits from at least one of the following programs, or pertinent/substantially equivalent income eligibility criteria:
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • Medical Assistance/MinnesotaCare
    • Women, Infants, and Children’s Program
    • Income Qualified Home Energy/Weatherization
    • Assistance Program
    • Head Start
    • Social Security Disability Insurance

To request a fee-waiver, fill out the garden application and email [email protected] stating you are eligible.

I have reviewed, and I agree to, the LNENA Community Garden Rules, Expectations and General Information. I understand that violation of these rules may result in expulsion from the garden.

I understand that the Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association and landowner are not responsible for my actions and/or the actions of my guests. I agree to hold harmless LNENA and/or the landowner for any liability, damage or loss that occurs in connection with the use of the LNENA Community Garden.

I submit this signed application and a $50, non-refundable payment in agreement with these terms.
Commitment to Attend Garden Orientation(Required)
Gardeners are required to attend the opening day garden meeting, which will be on April 18th from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. If unavailable to attend, it is the responsibility of the gardener to reach out to [email protected] by the morning of April 18th. Failure to do so may result in your plot being released to the next person on the waitlist.

Our Neighborhood

Beltrami and Northeast Park are neighborhoods in the Northeast community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Beltrami's boundaries are Broadway Street NE to the north, Interstate 35W to the east, East Hennepin Avenue to the south, and Central Avenue and Harrison Street NE to the west. Northeast Park's boundaries are 18th Avenue and New Brighton Boulevard to the north, the city limits to the northeast, Interstate 35W to the southeast, Broadway to the south, and Central Avenue to the west.
