The City of Minneapolis is hosting Learning Labs, interactive sessions designed to help residents better understand how community engagement works and how to get involved in shaping local decisions.
Learning Labs are a great opportunity to build skills, ask questions, and connect with others who care about creating more inclusive and effective community engagement across Minneapolis.
Topics
The material covered in these learning labs includes historical events and how they impact communities today. Labs also touch on effective, appropriate modes of communication relevant to each community, major gathering places, events and holidays. The learning labs included in this series are:

- Southeast Asian Community and Effective Engagement
- 2SLGBTQIA+ equity learning lab
- Immigrant and Refugee Issues and Community Considerations

The City of Minneapolis Department of Neighborhood and Community Relations (NCR) staff, including community and neighborhood specialists, teach the learning labs.
