Board Chair – Katie Kottenbrock- NE Park
Katie moved to NE Park in 2016 and was elected to the neighborhood board for a term starting in 2017. She is passionate about utilizing local representation to make the community more welcoming and inclusive. As part of the NE Park Neighborhood Association board, Katie helped to update the tennis courts in the NE Athletic Field Park, complete the mural in the NE Park as well as Logan and Beltrami Parks, added art wraps on the utility boxes, kept the association funded and functioning, and helped lead the merger work to form LNENA. Katie loves nature and animals and often roams the neighborhood with her dog, Mila. For employment, Katie focuses her time on labor issues and political engagement and is excited when opportunities arise to bring her skill set to LNENA to improve our neighborhood. She is an avid reader, enjoys gardening, and appreciates trying new restaurants and recipes to discover amazing food..
Laurie has lived in NE Park for the past 34 years. She has been involved in one capacity or another in the neighborhood association for the past 23 years.
Secretary- Ellie- Beltrami
Ellie has served as LNENA’s secretary since 2024. She has lived in and loved Northeast for 15 years. She is enthusiastic about community involvement and contributing to the cultivation of our wonderful neighborhoods. She enjoys crafting, reading, and video gaming. Ellie lives in Beltrami with her husband, Nick, and their dog, Wally.
Board Member- Adrian- Beltrami
Adrian joined the LNENA board during the initial merger of Beltrami and Northeast Parks with the intent to get active in his new community. Throughout his tenure on the board, Adrian has enjoyed working with the various community organizations that have approached LNENA and helping to plan the events that make the neighborhood a great place to call home. Outside of board activities, Adrian uses skills learned in software consulting to help tackle the everyday challenges the board faces. As a University of Minnesota alumni, he also has a strong connection to the community in Minneapolis and looks for ways to support local initiatives within LNENA and without. You’ll often find him enjoying beer and board games at a local brewery or running his dogs through Beltrami/Northeast parks!
Sarah Carlson-Bradley has been a Northeast Minneapolis resident since 2013 and joined the board of directors in 2025. Sarah grew up in South Dakota and Southern Minnesota, and she has been happy to call Minneapolis home since 2011. Sarah works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and previously worked as an inpatient mental health nurse. Some of her professional passions include child/adolescent mental health care, maternal mental health, community health and harm reduction, health equity, and interprofessional collaboration, and she is looking forward to developing skills in neighborhood/community engagement. In her free time, Sarah enjoys gardening, crocheting, going for walks, trying new restaurants, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries and movies (especially horror movies). Most of all, Sarah loves to spend time with her partner, son, and pets (dog and three cats).

Cameron serves on the LNENA board of directors. Originally from Canada, Cameron grew up in Eden Prairie and now calls Northeast Minneapolis’ Beltrami neighborhood home. Passionate about immigrant rights, the arts and humanities, and building community, he does his best to bring a multicultural perspective to the board. He works in healthcare and speaks English, Spanish, and French. When he’s not working to support his neighbors, you’ll find Cameron climbing at the Minneapolis Bouldering Project, biking, playing pickleball, or reading in the parks of Northeast Minneapolis.

Board Member- Cassandra- NE Park
After moving to Northeast Park in April 2024, it wasn’t long before Cassandra got involved with LNENA. While she is happy serving in many different capacities, she especially enjoys community building and advocating for the arts. Cassandra holds a Master’s degree in Music Performance (bassoon) and performs regularly with various ensembles in the Twin Cities. She draws heavily on her multifaceted background as a performer and educator to inform her service on LNENA’s board of directors. When she’s not volunteering with LNENA or working in music, you can find her weightlifting in the gym, playing with her cat, or tearing up the mosh pit at a metal or punk concert.
Board Member- Kate – NE Park
Kate Lawson has lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years. Her career in philanthropy has been in both private family foundations and in the corporate sector. In addition to LNENA’s board, she currently serves on Trademark Theater’s board and previously on Theater Latté Da’s. Kate and her family enjoy spending time in the city and DIY projects on their old house.
It’s an honor to be on the neighborhood associations board of directors representing where I live. Board work is an important responsibility that has given me a sense of belong and strengthened my connection to the community. As a long time renter halfway thur my 15th year in my current apt board work has been a great touch point that has highlighed the bennefits of knowing your neighbors and supporting community connections.
