The Northeast Park Neighborhood Association is hosting a breakout session at the Community Connections Conference.  They are partnering with CTUL (Centro De Trabajadores Unidos En La Lucha) to discuss supporting worker rights in neighborhood development proposals.  

Session Time: 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Session Description: In conversation with CTUL (Centro De Trabajadores Unidos En La Lucha), Northeast Park learned about issues such as wage theft, unsafe working conditions and sexual assault that arose during recent construction in Minneapolis. These conversations resulted in NEPNA identifying ways to embed programs and processes to push for better conditions for our neighbors and community members who work on these projects. This opportunity to engage in a community conversation about ways we can work together to ensure that development proposals in our neighborhoods treat workers well and add value to our communities.
