Come by the NE Community Dye Garden for a Ramble with the MSP Long Term Ecological Research project (MSP LTER). In this ongoing event, community members and ecologists can connect with each other while engaging in thematic place-based art activities. Light refreshments will be provided.

See what’s growing in the dye garden and talk to MSP LTER artist-in-residence Kim Boustead about past and future dye plant projects.Learn about urban gardening and contaminants, and bee lawn/pollinator research at the MSP LTER.Sew on our ongoing embroidered mural of the Mississippi River (with threads dyed by Kim from dye garden plants last year!)Herbalist Emily Pearson Ryan will offer introductions to some of the medicinal plants growing in and around the garden – with a focus on those underfoot! – and share some of their traditional uses.Print with MSP LTER artist-in-residence Jessie Merriam from woodblocks of local plants and learn some of their history and uses.
