LNENA Community Holiday Party on Monday, December 15, at Northeast Recreation Center

The Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association invites you to celebrate the season with friends and neighbors at our Annual Holiday Party on Monday, December 15th, 2025, from 6:30–8:00 PM at the Northeast Recreation Center.

This festive gathering will take place during our regular Community/Board meeting time and will feature FREE food and refreshments, holiday cookies, craft activities, and opportunities to connect with local nonprofit organizations.

Event Highlights

🍪 Cookie Swap
Bring a batch of your favorite cookies and take home a variety made by neighbors! Please bring your own container if possible. We will try and have a few extras on hand.

💌 Card Making for Seniors with Kim Boustead
Help spread holiday cheer by creating handmade cards for seniors in our community.

🧣 Men’s Winter Clothing Drive for CAARE Production Company
Help support community members in need by donating new or gently used men’s winter clothing. CAARE Production Company is specifically seeking boots, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, and jackets. Donations can be dropped off at the event.

🩺 Free Dermatology Screenings
Tareen Dermatology Clinic will be offering complimentary skin checks during the event.

📋 Local Organizations Tabling
Learn more about community resources and programs. Art Walk, Environmental Initiative, Hennepin County Child & Teen Checkups, NEST, Project Clean Air Repair (CAR), and Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling.

🎤 Guest Speakers
Guest speaker(s), including Ward 1 Council Member Elliot Payne.

🍽️ Food Provided
A catered meal will be available for all attendees. We’re working with Eastside Co-op and will share more details soon.
