Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) is throwing its second annual back-to-school celebration for families with children ages 0-7 on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Mona Moede Early Learning Center from 4 to 7 p.m.
The event will feature free food, free books, free backpacks and a vaccine clinic. There will also be entertainment and music, including performances by different cultural groups from the American Indian, Hmong, Latin American and Somali communities.
