Baby Storytime
For children from birth to 24 months and their caregivers. Talk, sing, read, write and play together. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement in a format especially designed for babies. Tuesdays September 10- September 29th at 9:30-10:15am.

Family Storytime
For children of all ages and their caregivers. Talk, sing, read, write, and play together. Share books, stories, rhymes, music, and movement. Tuesday, September 10th – September 29th at 10:30-11:00am.

K-12 Homework Help Tutors
Free in-person tutoring for K-12 students. No advance sign-up needed. This program is made possible by the Friends of Hennepin County Library. Every Wednesday and Thursday starting September 16-June 6 at 5:00-7:30pm.

Business Consultations/Consulta de Negocios
A representative from the City of Minneapolis will meet with business owners and entrepreneurs to share resources and assist those who want to start, maintain, or expand a business in the City of Minneapolis (e.g., financing, city regulations, and business technical assistance). No appointment necessary. We speak English and Spanish. Asistencia disponible en inglés y español. Collaborator: City of Minneapolis Small Business Team. 2nd Thursday of the Month at 2:00-4:00pm.

Discovery Theatre
K-grade 1. Using award-winning author Matt de la Peña’s story “Milo Imagines the World,” explore beginning theatrical skills through improvisation, character development, and movement activities. Led by a CTC teaching artist. Collaborator: Children’s Theatre Company (CTC). This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Registration required. Saturday, September 14 at 2:00-3:00pm.

Intro to Tenango Embroidery
Traditional Mexican embroidery, known as Tenango, can be used to add texture and color to your embroidery projects. Learn different Tenango embroidery stitches – including Otomí, Chamula, and Tzotzil – each with their own embroidered napkin. Materials provided. Collaborator: Textile Center. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Registration required. Saturday, September 21 at 10:00-11:30am.

Painting Workshop
Paint fall apples in acrylics with artist Karen Chan. This relaxed and supportive class is perfect for those new to painting. The experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step, so no prior experience is necessary. By the end of the session, you’ll have a beautiful painting to take home and new skills to continue your artistic journey. Materials provided. Collaborator: Karen Chan Art. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Registration required. Wednesday, October 16 at 5:30-7:30pm.

Stamp Art
Grades 1-5. Learn a quick and easy way to create your own rubber stamps and then use them to create stamp art on greeting cards, gift wrap, and other personalized items! Materials provided. Collaborator: ArtStart. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Registration required. Saturday, November 16 at 2:00-3:30pm.

Our Neighborhood

Beltrami and Northeast Park are neighborhoods in the Northeast community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Beltrami's boundaries are Broadway Street NE to the north, Interstate 35W to the east, East Hennepin Avenue to the south, and Central Avenue and Harrison Street NE to the west. Northeast Park's boundaries are 18th Avenue and New Brighton Boulevard to the north, the city limits to the northeast, Interstate 35W to the southeast, Broadway to the south, and Central Avenue to the west.
