Do you own your home or a 1-4 unit residential rental property in Minneapolis? With cold weather fast approaching, now is the perfect time to invest in the energy efficiency of your property.
The Green Cost Share program, funded by the Climate Legacy Initiative, offers rebates of up to $14,000 on projects in Green Zones and up to $5,000 in the rest of the city. Eligible projects include:
- Weatherization
- Insulation
- Home heating and cooling equipment
- Electric water heaters

Low-income property owner opportunities
The City of Minneapolis Green Cost Share (GCS) program and CenterPoint Energy are partnering with Frontier Energy to provide low-cost energy-efficiency upgrades to 1–4-unit rental properties. Property owners only need to fill out one application with Frontier to receive both City and CenterPoint funding.
