Many of us love to shop – for ourselves and the people in our lives. What many of us don’t know is how the current fashion industry produces the clothes we find at the mall or in Amazon searches. Presenters from St. Catherine’s University and ARC Value Village will pull back the curtain on the Fashion Industry’s production methods to spotlight it’s negative environmental and human impacts. They will also inspire us to consider alternative ways to think about fashion, clothing and shopping. Following the main presentation, you’ll be have a chance to talk with representatives from neighborhood resources like Buy Nothing and Lake Makerie.
Please join us for a morning of conversation and education to learn more about this problem and how you can lessen your impact without giving up on your personal fashion or gift giving tastes — just in time for Black Friday and holiday shopping.
